At the opening of the forum, Fariz Ismailzada, vice-rector of ADA University, delivered a welcome speech.

He noted that ADA University initially functioned as a diplomatic academy, but with the growing importance of IT technologies, it was decided to combine the IT school and engineering school with the diplomatic academy.

"Since then, we have become a university. IT issues, information technologies, computer science, and computer engineering are extremely important to us, and we pay great attention to them," he said.

According to Ismailzada, representatives from Israel, Portugal, South Korea, US, Russia, and other countries are participating in the forum.

Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution (4SIM), also spoke at the forum opening. He emphasized that the 4SIM center actively participates in the work of the Artificial Intelligence Governance group of the Davos Forum - the largest alliance in this field.

"Last year, we began cooperation with Coursera, one of the leading international online education platforms. We provided free access to more than 800 courses on Coursera for 10,000 Azerbaijani citizens. As a result, we were recognized as winners among 42 countries and 118 programs promoting innovations in artificial intelligence both in the country and internationally," Jafarov noted.

Jafarov also reported that the Azerbaijani government has developed a new digital economy strategy that includes 51 initiatives.

"We already have generative AI and large language models in the Azerbaijani language. We plan to use AI capabilities to accelerate Azerbaijan's economic growth by 2040 with the help of international organizations and consulting companies. According to their estimates, generative AI in the Azerbaijani language will bring an additional $4.4 billion to the country's economy. In addition, we plan to launch a digital twin program that will generate a significant amount of data," he added.
