Over the past three decades, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have cultivated a remarkably close and strategic relationship, Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).

According to Report, speaking at the event "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: new perspectives of mutually beneficial cooperation," co-organized with the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shafiyev underscored the significance of President Aliyev's visit to Uzbekistan, which took place amidst a complex geopolitical landscape. He emphasized the crucial importance of strengthening economic ties between the two nations, stating, "We need to facilitate the interaction of the private sector in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan."

The chairman also shed light on the Middle Corridor project and the vital role of cooperation with Central Asian countries in this endeavor.
