Expert: Signed documents important for Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan co-op development

The memorandums signed during the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kazakhstan, as well as the protocol on the establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council, are of inestimable importance for the development of bilateral relations between the two fraternal states and peoples, director of the Kazakh Center for Analytical Research “Eurasian Monitoring” Alibek Tazhibayev told Report.

"The basis has been formed for building further constructive dialogue at the level of the executive power of our countries. Now the initiatives that are being formed in the environment of business and civil society will receive even more support and will be able to rely on specific agreements. This means that officials now have a clear and verified basis to support initiatives," he said.

According to Tazhibayev, the unified Turkic origin of peoples has been and will be an integral part of the unity of Azerbaijan with Kazakhstan.

“Among the Turkic countries, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan hold one of the leading positions in all spheres without exception. Even closer cooperation between our countries will certainly have a positive impact on the development of relations among the Turkic countries,” he said.

In addition, the diversification of transport and logistics opportunities in the field of oil supplies, which the presidents also spoke about during the meeting, is of great strategic importance for the two countries.

“It is necessary to increase investment in the development of the Middle Corridor in order to open up an opportunity for all countries of Greater Eurasia, including China and Russia, to freely transport energy resources and minimize dependence on external factors that our countries and partners of our countries face in the context of geopolitical turbulence,” concluded Tazhibayev.

On April 10, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev paid an official visit to Kazakhstan. A number of documents were signed during the visit.
