The decision to open a representative office in Palestine reflects Azerbaijan's desire to expand regional cooperation and peace initiatives, international relations analyst Khalid Taimur Akram told Report.
According to him, this decision is a manifestation of respect for other Muslim states and a clear reflection of the far-sighted policy of President Ilham Aliyev.
“He has always advocated peace and common development along with strengthening ties with other countries. I believe that the establishment of strong relations with Palestine is an important step in strengthening solidarity among all Muslim countries. We strongly support this act of friendship and cooperation,” said Khalid Taimur Akram.
According to him, all Muslim countries welcome this step.
