Event dedicated to anniversary of Khojaly genocide held in Germany

An event dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Berlin (Germany), Report informs, referring to the Azerbaijani Embassy.

During the event held by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany in the framework of cooperation with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, an exhibition on the Khojaly genocide was also organized.

At the beginning of the event, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide. Then a short film about the Khojaly Genocide, made by the embassy, was screened.

Speaking at the event, they noted that civilians were taken hostage, and hundreds of people are still missing. During the Khojaly genocide, which is a tragedy of the 20th century, the provisions of international and humanitarian law were grossly violated.

After the performances, a concert took place in which Azerbaijani and foreign musicians performed. The works of Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Sevil Aliyeva, Arif Melikov, Asaf Zeynalli, Farhad Badalbeyli were performed by musicians Anar Ibragimov, Abuzar Manafzade, Olga Zernyayeva, vocalists Orkhan Jalilov and Gunel Shirinova and others.
