EU warmly welcomes Baku’s release of Armenian detainees, says Charles Michel

EU warmly welcomes Baku’s release of 10 Armenian detainees in follow up to discussions with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Council President Charles Michel tweeted, Report informs.

Charles Michel called the release of the Armenian detainees “an important humanitarian gesture demonstrating the mutual will to strengthen confidence as discussed in Brussels.”

He added that the EU facilitated the transfer to Yerevan.
