EU mulls fate of monitoring mission in Armenia after December 19

The EU is discussing the issue of extending the mission in Armenia, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.
“We note the positive effect of the presence of observers. Their mandate expires on December 19. We are discussing further possibilities,” a high-ranking European source told journalists in Brussels.
On October 17, at a meeting in Luxembourg, the EU foreign ministers officially approved the dispatch of 40 observers to Armenia. The observers arrived in the region and started their work on October 20. The mission is designed for two months, and ends on December 19.
