"The number of firefighters interfering in forest fires by air and land has increased rapidly. I consider it essential to emphasize the work done by Azerbaijan in this regard," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, commenting on the situation with extinguishing forest fires, Report informs.
"Today, I had a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, my brother Ilham Aliyev. They sent more than 600 professional firefighters to our country. Ilham Aliyev said the number of firefighters could increase by another 100 people. I said it would be perfect. Most likely, those firefighters will arrive in Turkey today," Erdogan said.
