Erdogan: Azerbaijan and Russia are friendly enough to deal with their problem

Azerbaijan and Russia are countries with a level of understanding enough to deal with their problem, Turkish President Erdogan told journalists on his return flight from Azerbaijan, Report informs via Haber Global.

"Both friendly countries have the level of understanding to deal with the problem. President Ilham Aliyev is taking a very careful and cautious step here. He is not in favor of pursuing this issue or provoking it," Erdogan said.

The Turkish president added that they are closely following the developments and are calling on both countries to exercise restraint:

"We believe that the issue will be resolved more easily and fundamentally with statements that will reduce diplomatic tensions. I hope that the negative situations between the two countries will end as soon as possible."
