Baku is an excellent platform for open discussion of the colonialism problem, Elizabeth Mekougou Obama Epse Ndjella, a gender issues expert and leader of the Pan-African movement, said in her statement to journalists on the sidelines of the international conference on "France's neocolonialism policy in Africa," Report informs.
"Baku is a place where people can express their position openly. Our request is this: allow the colonized peoples to have their say. They must convey their sufferings to the world," she stated.
According to the expert, Baku's support for the fight against neocolonialism should be an example for other countries.
"We should be proud that such an initiative exists. This gives people suffering from colonialism and neocolonialism all over the world an opportunity to stand against it," Ndjella emphasized.
