Envoy: UK's medical experience to save lives in Azerbaijan

UK's scientific and medical experience will save lives in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Twitter post of British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp.

"It is pleasant to hear that Azerbaijan will receive 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccine through COVAX," the ambassador noted.

COVAX is a global initiative to ensure rapid and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines for all countries.

Earlier, the COVAX platform released a forecast for the distribution of the coronavirus vaccine.

The distribution of vaccines in 145 countries of the world will be carried out in February. The number of jabs will suffice to vaccinate approximately 3.3% of the population in each country.

The vaccine distribution is scheduled to be completed by June 2021.
