"As noted in recent trips, including during President Michel's visit, Azerbaijan is an important partner for the European Union. We are ready to work together in a strong partnership in key areas such as the economy, innovation, trade, energy, investment, infrastructure, and cooperation," the newly appointed head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Peter Michalko, said while presenting his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on October 6.
"The signing of a new comprehensive agreement between the European Union (EU) and Azerbaijan will be our main priority. We are confident that this will not only help expand our bilateral cooperation but also serve to further strengthen the Azerbaijani economy and increase its prosperity and diversification," he stressed.
