Envoy: Azerbaijan-China co-op in fighting pandemic - example for other countries

This year, Azerbaijan and China will continue to develop cooperation in the field of medicine and vaccine supply, Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Guo Min told Report.

The diplomat noted that the two countries have achieved great results in the joint fight against the pandemic.

“In this sense, we are an example for other countries,” the ambassador said, adding that the specific time for the next delivery of a batch of China’s Sinovac vaccine to Azerbaijan is not yet known, but if there is demand, the embassy will provide any assistance in the implementation of this task.

The diplomat noted that the priorities for the further development of bilateral cooperation were identified last year during a telephone conversation between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Our cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative is developing successfully. This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries and, taking this opportunity, we will continue to promote our relations and cooperation in all areas,” said the ambassador.
