Azerbaijan is making efforts to ensure long-term peace and stability in the region. Despite the efforts of the Azerbaijani government, it is safe to say from recent statements and steps taken by the Armenian government that its involvement in the peace process is disingenuous, said Elchin Amirbayov, assistant to the first vice-president of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
He noted that Azerbaijan is taking the necessary measures to ensure security in the region.
“In this context, Baku, in order to normalize relations with Armenia, proposed to sign a peace agreement prepared on the basis of five principles, including territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of states,” Amirbayov added.
