ECO chairmanship passes from Azerbaijan to Iran

The chairmanship of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has passed from Azerbaijan to Iran.
According to Report, the decision was made following the results of the 27th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the organization, which took place on October 10 in Shusha.
The meeting was attended by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari, heads and representatives of foreign ministries of other member states of the organization.
In addition, Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Tahsin Ertugruloglu, attended the event as an observer.
