As part of its assistance to the Eastern Partnership countries, the European Commission is redirecting € 140 million to mitigate the socio-economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
EC representative Ana Pisonero said Monday in Brussels at a briefing.
A. Pisonero: “For our eastern partners, the European Commission will redirect 140 million euros for urgent needs in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to help mitigate the socio-economic consequences of the coronavirus crisis in these countries”.
The Eastern Partnership program was launched by the EU in 2009 to develop regional cooperation with six countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
