Dushanbe is expected to host the 9th Conference of Foreign Ministers of Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process at the end of this year.
A virtual Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of this process made such a decision, Report says, citing Tajik MFA.
The proposal to hold the conference came from the Tajik side, co-chairing the Heart of Asia - Istanbul process in 2020.
The Foreign Ministers of fourteen countries that are part of the "Heart of Asia – Istanbul process" will gather in the capital of Tajikistan.
Participants of the process are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Nations.
Notably, the Istanbul conference's goal for Afghanistan, launched in 2011 on Turkey's initiative, is to strengthen regional cooperation.
