Deputy PM: Ukraine supported and will continue to support Azerbaijan

“Ukraine and Azerbaijan have similar fates. We have neighbors, and not always friendly ones. Some of our territories are occupied. You had Karabakh, and we have a part of Donbas and Crimea,” Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan, told reporters in Aghdam, Report informs.

"I congratulate you. You are in the liberated land and I am here as a guest. Everything that I saw here, of course, looks terrible. But I am sure when I visit it again it will be a new and beautiful Aghdam," he said.

He also noted that the purpose of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation is to familiarize with Azerbaijan's experience in restoring the infrastructure of the liberated territories and to offer the experience of Ukraine in exchange.

"As you know, parts of the liberated territories of Donbas are also mined. We are ready to offer a helping hand where we can be useful and at the same time gain the experience of Azerbaijan. We came to a country that is our friend and partner. A lot needs to be done in terms of mine clearance, and we saw how it actually happens. "

Reznikov also stressed that Ukraine supported and will continue to support Azerbaijan.

"We respect your territorial integrity and sovereignty. We believe that no one has the right to change internationally recognized borders and we expect the same respect for our territorial integrity and the inviolability of our sovereignty. Therefore, we will always be on your side," he concluded.
