The termination of diplomatic activity in any country is a responsible decision, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said.
"But we do not trust Iran regarding the safety of our embassy staff. We brought this to the attention of the Iranian side," he said, as quoted by Report.
"Why are we saying this? Because we have repeatedly brought to the attention of the Iranian side that there are threats against the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the territory of Iran," Khalafov said.
