Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan, UAE sign memo of understanding

The ministries of internal affairs of Azerbaijan and United Arab Emirates have signed a memo of mutual understanding, Report informs referring to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In order to sign the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual recognition and replacement of driving licenses", the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Police Lieutenant General Oruj Zalov, visited the UAE on November 15-17.

The Memorandum of Understanding provides for the recognition of driving licenses issued to citizens of both countries, as well as the replacement of driving licenses by exempting them from theoretical and practical examinations.

The document will enter into force after the completion of the relevant procedures carried out in accordance with the national legislation of both states.
