Czech Republic tries to strengthen energy relations with Azerbaijan

The European Union (EU) supports energy cooperation with Azerbaijan and seeks to reduce its dependence on Russian fuel, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Azerbaijan Daniel Putik said at a conference held in partnership with ADA University, Institute for Development and Diplomacy, Czech Embassy and the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU).

The Czech deputy ambassador said that the main priority facing the EU at the moment is the refugee problem, lowering of energy prices, energy security, and support to Ukraine.

According to him, the EU is considering ways to increase aid to Azerbaijan in demining.
