“Pakistan and Azerbaijan are linked by historical ties that last more than a hundred years. They have strengthened even more over the past few years, and especially after the return of Azerbaijani lands and a glorious victory. I hope that relations between our countries will develop successfully in the future,” Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Istanbul Bilal Khan Pasha said in an interview with the Turkish bureau of Report.
The consul general highly appreciated the growing trade, political and diplomatic relations between Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey and congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the first anniversary of the glorious victory in the Patriotic War.
“I congratulate the friendly and fraternal people of Azerbaijan on the victory in the historic war. I am pleased to note that we have recently sent a trade caravan from Pakistan to Azerbaijan, and it is expected that it will also deliver Azerbaijani goods to Pakistan,” he noted.
He also stressed that in the future direct flights will be opened between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. There will be more opportunities for tourism and travel, and the historic Silk Road, once a successful trade route, will soon recover for new trade links between Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
