As Report informs, this was stated by the military attaché of China to Azerbaijan, Colonel Sun Zhong, speaking at an event marking the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the 80th anniversary of the country's liberation from Japanese occupation.

According to him, since the establishment of diplomatic relations, military ties between the two countries have consistently strengthened, becoming an important foundation for bilateral interaction.

"We have implemented a number of practical and effective activities in the areas of high-level exchanges, military-technical cooperation, as well as training and education of military personnel. This cooperation has not only enhanced the professional level of our servicemen but also deepened mutual understanding and trust between the armed forces of China and Azerbaijan," emphasized the colonel.

Sun Zhong noted that the recent important consensus reached between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will give additional impetus to the development of cooperation in the defense sphere.

"As a military attaché, I am fully confident that under the leadership of the two countries' leaders and thanks to the joint efforts of the parties, Chinese-Azerbaijani military cooperation will achieve even more impressive results," he added.
