CEO: ASELSAN wants to contribute to Karabakh's reconstruction

"We want to join the concept of a smart city announced by President Ilham Aliyev for the complete reconstruction of Karabakh after the war, to contribute with our energy, knowledge and all our capabilities to support his will and goal," Haluk Gorgun, CEO of ASELSAN company (Turkish defense corporation), in an interview with state media, Report informs.

"Of course, we want to be there. ASELSAN has created many systems for reconstruction work. In this regard, we have established and implemented many projects in Turkey. ASELSAN both writes and designs data and network-based programs that can be used to manage the city in all areas, from transportation to healthcare and payment systems. We want to join the concept of a smart city announced by President Ilham Aliyev for the complete reconstruction of Karabakh after the war, to support his will and goal with all our energy, knowledge and resources. We want to take responsibility for and help with the design of these cities. We hold meetings with relevant agencies to share our knowledge and experience in this area. The Rebuild Karabakh 2021 fair, which we attended in October, was crucial in terms of strengthening our cooperation here. We had the opportunity to hold many meetings with all relevant government agencies and companies. We plan to accelerate our activities in this area in the near future. As ASELSAN, we are ready for any cooperation with Azerbaijan in this direction," Haluk Gorgun said.
