Bulgarian president: Azerbaijan has proved to be a reliable partner for Europe

Azerbaijan has proved to be a reliable partner for Europe, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev told journalists ahead of the European Political Community summit, according to Report.

"We succeeded to implement the European vision for additional gas supplies, additional quantities of Azeri gas to Europe, to implement this vision into a feasible and very productive project. This is the additional quantity of gas from Azerbaijan to Türkiye and Greece up to Bulgaria, Romania. Hungary is working. So, we united the capacity of our gas networks and now we have taken all the necessary steps for the Azeri gas to flow up to the Central-Eastern Europe," he said.

"This is a very strong investment in the political relationships between EU and Azerbaijan," he said, adding that they finished the interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria and now receive Azerbaijani gas in Bulgaria and they launched the interconnector between Bulgaria and Serbia.
