Director-General of International Commission on Missing Persons Kathryne Bomberger has expressed her readiness to work closely with Azerbaijan in determining the fate of missing persons, Report informs.
She made the remark during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Noting the importance of collecting DNA samples and identifying people through laboratory tests, Kathryne Bomberger expressed her readiness to contribute to the creation of a database on missing persons in Azerbaijan, conducting joint excavations in mass graves, and improving the professionalism of local specialists.
Bomberger added that determining the fate of missing persons is important in terms of establishing trust and ensuring sustainable peace.
