BNN: Azerbaijan starts providing public services to Karabakh Armenians as first step towards reintegration

Azerbaijan’s provision of services to the Armenian population of Karabakh is the first step towards establishing trust and beginning the reintegration of the Karabakh Armenians into Azerbaijani society, which also underscores the country’s commitment to protecting the rights of the entire population on its territory, reads an article by BNN Breaking, Report informs.
“This action, which follows the successful execution of a counterterrorism operation, may signal a stride towards better relations between Azerbaijan and the Armenian population in Karabakh. It also underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare and rights of all populations within its territories, irrespective of their ethnic origins,” the article noted.
The author wrote that many ethnic Armenians, however, are fleeing the region due to fears that Azerbaijani authorities will not guarantee their language, religion, and culture, or treat them fairly and humanely.
“The government’s pledge to respect the rights of ethnic Armenians in Karabakh may be a step towards mitigating the fears of the Armenian population and fostering better relations between the two groups.”
