Bayramov: Investigation into attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Iran continues

The investigation into the criminal case regarding the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran is still ongoing, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, Report informs.

“Azerbaijan counts on the speedy completion of the investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators, but for now, it is early to talk about concrete results in this process,” the minister added.

"We believe that this attack is a factor that has a very negative impact on relations between the two countries. At the same time, we received several requests from Iran regarding the restoration of the activities of our diplomatic mission in this country," the minister said.

He believes that the Azerbaijani side should be absolutely sure that the criminals who carried out the attack and those who ordered it should be held accountable.

"All guarantees related to this must be provided to the Azerbaijani side not in words, but in deeds," he said.
