Baku to host meeting of Azerbaijani-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Pakistani counterpart Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi on March 30, 2021, within the 9th Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process ministerial conference held in Dushanbe, Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry.

The sides discussed bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, including the prospects of cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and companies of Pakistan, as well as bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

Noting the importance of expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, the sides stressed the significance of holding the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Baku.

The ministers also stressed the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations.
