The International Mugham Center in Baku hosted a celebration marking the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Mexican Embassy in Azerbaijan.
According to Report, as part of the event, a commemorative postage stamp, issued jointly with Azerpocht LLC, was unveiled.
Speaking at the event, Mexico's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Maria Victoria Romero Caballero, emphasized the great significance of the embassy's opening in Baku for the development of bilateral relations.
"We affirm our desire to further deepen relations, as directed by the President of Mexico," she said, highlighting that her country was the first among Latin American states to recognize Azerbaijan's independence in 1992.
Ambassador Caballero also noted that cultural interaction is an essential element in bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.
The ambassador and the head of Azerpocht then jointly cancelled the new stamp, which features two important elements of Mexican and Azerbaijani cuisine - tacos and qutabs, set against a background of traditional patterns from both countries.
The event concluded with a concert program showcasing captivating dance performances.
