Baku: Armenia's renunciation of obligations goes beyond international legal framework

The statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson on February 7, 2022, should be regarded as an extreme example of disrespect for humanitarian law and the principle of humanism, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

Armenia's refusal of obligations goes beyond the international legal framework, the Foreign Ministry added.

"We call on the international community to put pressure on the Armenian side so that it takes responsibility for clarifying the fate of the missing Azerbaijani citizens during the first Armenian-Azerbaijani war and demanded that it fulfill its obligations," the Foreign Ministry said.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has created a DNA database of more than 3,000 people based on DNA samples taken from family members of those missing.
