Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan during these difficult days, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said during a phone conversation with Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s MFA.
Saidov expressed condolences on behalf of the Uzbek state and people regarding the tragic accident of AZAL's Baku-Grozny flight near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, on Wednesday. He prayed for God's mercy for the deceased, patience for their relatives, and recovery for the injured.
It was also noted that Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan during these difficult days, shares its grief, and hopes that such a tragedy will not occur again.
Jeyhun Bayramov thanked brotherly Uzbekistan for the condolences and support shown on this difficult day for Azerbaijan and its people.
It was reported that from the first minutes of the accident, following President Ilham Aliyev's instructions, a state commission was established to investigate the causes of the plane crash, and a delegation consisting of senior officials from relevant Azerbaijani agencies was dispatched to the crash site. Information was provided about the measures taken to eliminate the consequences of the accident and provide assistance to the injured.
