The Azerbaijani and Russian parliaments will sign an agreement after the end of the global pandemic crisis, said Deputy of the Russian State Duma Irek Zinnurov.

He made the remarks at an online conference ‘Russia-Azerbaijan: a joint way out of the epidemiological and energy crisis’ of the Institute for Political Studies, Report’s Russian bureau says.

According to him, the agreement was to be signed after the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. “Unfortunately, the pandemic did not allow this. However, in the post-pandemic period, the parliaments will sign a deal,” he stressed.

“Like the parliaments, the Azerbaijani and Russian peoples also enjoy friendly relations and provide mutual assistance in this challenging period,” said another Russian deputy Anton Morozov.

The Azerbaijani and Russian MPs discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries at the online conference.
