Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral relations and the agenda of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia at a meeting held in Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Report informs.
"An exchange of views was held on the prospects for the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations in the context of strategic partnership and alliance. A number of pressing international and regional issues were touched upon," the organization said.
The main issues included in the agenda of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia and the tasks of joint activity on this platform during the Azerbaijani chairmanship in 2025-2026 were discussed.
