Azerbaijani MP elected PACE rapporteur on human rights in Europe

The head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, MP Samad Seyidov has been elected PACE rapporteur on "Challenges of far-right ideology to democracy and human rights in Europe".
According to the French bureau of Report, the election was held in the Committee on Political Affairs of the Council of Europe. Samad Seyidov's candidacy was nominated by the European Conservatives and the Democratic Alliance group. All members of the Committee on Political Affairs of the Council of Europe supported the election of the Azerbaijani representative as rapporteur.
