Azerbaijani leader: 'I consider their talk about peace today as a kind of manipulation'

“You mentioned visiting Armenia and receiving a message of peace from the Armenian leadership there," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a meeting with the delegation led by Dirk Schuebel, the special envoy of the European Union for the Eastern Partnership, Report informs.

"We have heard these messages throughout the years of the occupation. But they were not sincere. We also wanted peace, but we wanted our lands back. They wanted peace without returning the lands. That was the difference. So we had to resolve the conflict by force and then by political means. I find their talk of peace today to be a form of manipulation,” the head of state said.
