Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry summons Indian ambassador

Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bavitlung Vanlalvavna has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the foreign ministry.
The ambassador was notified that the use of insulting remarks by officials of India's ruling party against Islam and the Prophet Muhammad is unacceptable.
It was noted that the Islamophobic position shown by Indian officials affected the feelings of Muslims worldwide and that Azerbaijan condemns this behavior.
The ministry said such cases undermine the peaceful coexistence of people of different religions and that Baku expects the Indian government to take strict measures against the officials.
