All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the security of Azerbaijani diplomatic missions abroad, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizade told Report.
He was commenting on the question of whether security measures were strengthened after the armed attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran.
On January 27, at about 8:30 a.m. (GMT+4), there was an armed attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran.
The attacker broke through to the security post of the diplomatic mission and killed the head of the security service with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon. Two embassy security guards were also injured while repelling the attack. Their condition is satisfactory.
An urgent investigation is currently being carried out by the Azerbaijani side.
