"What happened yesterday was a planned provocation by Armenia," Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, Report informs.
"Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Armenia has resorted to military-political provocations at a time when steps are being taken to normalize relations between the two countries. And the presence of the commander of the Armenian special forces corps and his deputy in the area testifies that yesterday's incident was a well-thought-out plan," Bayramov said.
The minister said that the provocation in the Lachin district can also be considered an attempt to prevent the return of internally displaced persons: "Armenia should refrain from irresponsible and dangerous steps."
