Azerbaijani FM: Vardanyan had no concern with Karabakh

Vardanyan had no concern with Karabakh, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said while commenting on the 'dismissal' of Ruben Vardanyan, one of the Armenian separatists in Karabakh, Report informs.

The minister said that Azerbaijan is talking about the peace agenda after the Second Karabakh war: "Our state has already demonstrated willingness to turn the black page of history and show a vision of the future, and in this context, it is ready to start integration of the residents of Armenian origin living in Karabakh into the Azerbaijani society at the social, political and economic level. From the first day, President Ilham Aliyev has sent clear, logical, and continuous messages regarding the sovereignty of Azerbaijan and the development of the region. A person with nothing to do with Karabakh cannot be a counterparty for us. It was impossible for Vardanyan to occupy that position. In general, when the decisions related to the reintegration process were discussed, it was repeatedly said that it would be implemented in formats consistent with the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the international agreements to which it is a party."
