Azerbaijani FM invites Romanian companies and investors to East Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov invited Romanian companies and investors to the East Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions at a joint press conference with his Romanian counterpart Luminita Odobescu, Report informs.

He noted ways to further develop economic cooperation with Romania: "Mutual investments between Azerbaijan and Romania do not yet correspond to our bilateral trade cycle. This means that there is an opportunity to diversify and make our economic relations sustainable. Taking advantage of this opportunity, we invite Romanian companies and investors to participate in investment projects in Azerbaijan, especially reconstruction and restoration work in Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions."

The minister also spoke about cooperation in the field of green energy between the two countries: "We emphasize the successful cooperation of SOCAR Petroleum in the field of energy in Romania, as well as the agreement signed between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary on strategic partnership in the field of green energy last year in Bucharest."
