Azerbaijani diplomat awarded in Los Angeles

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles awarded the former consul general of Azerbaijan in this city, the former dean of the Consular Corps of the Los Angeles Consular Corps, Nasimi Aghayev, with an honorary diploma, Report informs.

“On behalf of the more than 10 million residents, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles extends deep appreciation for your service to the people in your role as Consul General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles and your contributions as Dean of the Consular Corps. Your dedicated service leadership have strengthened the ties of friendship between Azerbaijan and Southern California,” the Board of Supervisors said.

“Thank you, County of Los Angeles, for this recognition! It has been a tremendous honor to represent Azerbaijan in beautiful Los Angeles. I wish everyone continued prosperity, harmony, and peace,” Aghayev wrote on Twitter.

Nasimi Aghayev was appointed as the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany on August 19.
