Azerbaijani Aluda Zeynalova, who prevented the Armenian provocation in the US, was released after being brought before a judge in the New York State Criminal Court, Report informs.

Zeynalova, who was detained two days ago by the New York police following the complaint by Meri Cobanyan, one of the Armenians who committed provocation against the Azerbaijanis who were holding peaceful protest in front of the UN headquarters in New York, was released until the next court hearing. Cobanyan accused Aluda Zeynalova of inflicting third-degree injury on her.

Dorin Khoiee-Abbasi, a lawyer originally from South Azerbaijan appointed by the US government to protect the rights of Zeynalova, said that the process of the complaint against Zeynalova will be continued. She noted that the next court date is scheduled for the end of September. The lawyer said that all necessary evidence and information about the incident will be collected before the trial for the defense of Zeynalova.

Azerbaijan's Embassy in the US told Report that the diplomatic mission is closely following the events, all necessary steps have been taken and will continue to be taken to protect Zeynalova's rights.
