Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev met with Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh in Tehran, Report informs via IRNA.
Sadegh stated that relations with Azerbaijan are very important for Iran.
She proposed to hold the 16th Azerbaijan-Iran Joint Economic Commission meeting in Tehran soon:
"We have started the construction of the Rasht-Astara railway, which is considered a turning point in the development of the North-South corridor. Azerbaijan's cooperation is very important in the development of this railway infrastructure. In addition, a plan should be prepared to reach the goal of 15 million tons of cargo transit between the two countries."
