Azerbaijani ambassador, Ukrainian vice speaker mull bilateral relations

Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk discussed the interstate relations and promotion of close cooperation between the legislative bodies of her country and Azerbaijan with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kyiv Seymur Mardaliyev, the Ukrainian politician said on X, Report informs.

"We noted the importance of both countries' unwavering position on supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and Azerbaijan within internationally recognized borders," Kondratiuk noted.

The vice speaker also emphasized that she highly values Azerbaijan's efforts in rehabilitating Ukrainian children affected by the war.

"We appreciate Azerbaijan's efforts in rehabilitating Ukrainian children affected by the war. This year, with the assistance of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, three groups of Ukrainian children were hospitably received for recreation. In total, more than 180 Ukrainian children underwent social and psychological rehabilitation in this country.

We hope for the continuation of the recreation and rehabilitation program for Ukrainian children of war in Azerbaijan in 2025. We agreed with the Ambassador [Seymur Mardaliyev] to continue coordinating efforts in this regard," Olena Kondratiuk concluded.
