Azerbaijan to preside over Asian Parliamentary Assembly

From the end of February this year, Azerbaijan will preside over the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Mohammad Reza Majidi said at a press conference in Baku, Report informs.

“At the Assembly meeting at the end of February, the chairmanship of the organization will pass from Türkiye to Azerbaijan,” he said.

Last November, a meeting of the Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly was held in the Turkish city of Antalya, during which Azerbaijan was elected chair country of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly for 2024-2025.
