Azerbaijan, Syria reach agreement on establishing direct cultural contacts

On August 26, Azerbaijan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Damascus, Elnur Shahhuseynov, met with the Minister of Culture of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mohammad Yasin Saleh.

According to Report, the information was shared in a post on the official X page of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria.

“The revival of cultural ties between the two friendly countries, Azerbaijan and Syria, is a necessary step to fill a 12-year gap. We have reached an agreement with the Minister of Culture of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mohammad Yasin Saleh, on establishing direct contacts between the Ministries of Culture. This will accelerate the implementation of projects and bring to life constructive ideas that will help bring our friendly peoples closer together,” the statement reads.
