The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the United States, Khazar Ibrahim, met with the members of the Azerbaijani community living in New York and nearby states.
Report's local bureau, consulate services were provided to them on the spot, and Azerbaijan's new consul in the United States, Jeyhun Novruzov, answered the questions regarding problems facing Azerbaijanis in document registration. He promised to take steps to resolve existing issues.
The diplomat familiarized with the community activists, university students, heads of the organizations functioning in the United States, discussed the problems facing the community members during the COVID-19 pandemic, including when obtaining vaccination passports, necessary for entry to and exit from the United States, the vaccination in the United States, prolongation of passports.
The ambassador noted that mobile consulate services would be organized in many cities and states where many Azerbaijanis live. Ibrahim said the problems of Azerbaijanis who cannot come to Washington would be settled in the cities of their residence. He said the information on the consulate's website would be regularly updated, and the workers will provide prompt responses to inquiries.
During the two-hour meeting, the community members informed the ambassador about the plans for the future, held mutual discussions on most issues. The ambassador voiced readiness to hold such meetings regularly.
