Azerbaijan Press Council official: Some organizations act as cold weapons of Europe, US

The mechanism of transferring funds to many organizations acting as cold weapons of Europe and the US is managed from one center, Mushfig Alasgarli, the chairman of the International Relations Commission of the Azerbaijan Press Council (PC), said on AzTV, Report informs.

The commission chairman stated that Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Freedom House are among the organizations acting as cold weapons.

He noted that these organizations are funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) with the budget of around $30 billion, which is more than the budgets of many countries.

"Through USAID, all funds are distributed among these organizations and spent on promoting trends that are alien to our society," added the Press Council official.
