Azerbaijan officially becomes host country of COP29

Azerbaijan will host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29, COP28 Chief Sultan Al Jaber said at the plenary meeting of the final session of COP28, according to a Report correspondent from Dubai (UAE).

He called for continued action to combat climate change.

There is no time left for negotiations, the time has come to act, said Sultan Al Jaber.

It is necessary to take real action within the fund to compensate for losses and damage, he noted, adding that it is also necessary to act faster and smarter, and achieve a plan to keep warming within 1.5 degrees Celsius.
